PÁL BREZNAY

He was born in Budapest as the 7th child of a multi-generational family of artists. He studied as a goldsmith and sculptor at the technical secondary school. He then studied painting and mosaics at the College of Ravenna. He then went to Paris to study painting, where he opened his first solo exhibition on the theme of space and light, the “phenomenon of light”. Later, he visits the spas of his childhood, where he paints the experiences of the baths in Budapest to this day. His passion for horses grabbed him as a child, so it became one of his favorite subjects for painting riding centers and riding tracks. In addition, he travels a lot, capturing his experiences and discoveries with colors and shapes on his canvases in order to live his experiences even more intensely. The locations of Paris, Nice, Antibes, Pont Aven, Venice, Florence, Budapest, Istanbul or the Croatian coast, the European Greek islands, Sedona in Arizona and the American Grand Canyon, as well as Suzhou in China served as inspiration. In addition, wall mosaics have recently been made based on his paintings. Recently, his work has been enriched with some sculptures.

His solo exhibition is currently on display at Villa 11 in Budapest until August 31
